Below is a sample letter from a seller's attorney to a buyer's attorney after the seller has counter-signed the contract for a co-op apartment sale in NYC. Just interesting as I haven't seen too many attorneys send around formal cover letters that accompany the fully executed contract:
Attached hereto please find a fully executed contract of sale in the above referenced transaction. Kindly note that the contract has been signed by PDF scanned signatures and in counter-parts as permitted in the rider. As such, please consider the attached an original contract.
This letter will also confirm that I am in receipt of $400,000 which represents the contract deposit. I will maintain the contract deposit in my Attorney Trust Account at Signature Bank pursuant to the terms of the contract of sale.
