How do I get started with selling new developments in NYC?

I would love to get started with new developments and selling entire floors vs single units. I’ve tried cold calling and emailing but no dice. Is it just a numbers game?

Robert, every agent in New York City would love to the be exclusive listing agent for a sparkling new development, an entire building. If you're just starting out, I would recommend contacting smaller builders or developers who may be more sensitive to commissions.

It's certainly possible. I've seen many smaller projects, say multi-family properties that have been converted to condos in Brooklyn, that are marketed by real estate brokerages both big and small. And by agents of various experience levels.

Keep in mind that just because a builder is smaller doesn't mean they'll settle for less in terms of quality. You still need to know what you are talking about and display professionalism. Good luck!
