Buying apartment buildings in NYC

Any tips for buying apartment buildings in NYC from investors or brokers who have done it before? What are the best sites to search? I know for example some property search websites like NY Times or StreetEasy only focus on commercial, and to my understanding that means technically under 3 or 4 legal family units right?

How about financing? At what stage can you get a commercial loan vs one that is underwritten by your personal income?

Your best bet is to try a commercial broker and commercial mortgage broker such as myself. Been in the business for over thirty years.
