Haven't been able to find a lot on this topic online. Does anyone have practical, real world experience actually getting a developer to fix something after close? I've heard that New York has legal protections in place for buyers of new construction homes, such as a 6 year warranty against structural defects and a 90 day warranty against broken appliances.
Any advice on how to actually get a sponsor to abide by one of these warranties? What if the facade starts crumbling a couple of years after closing, which could mean they did a shoddy job. Is that covered under the NY warranty for structural defects?
