How do agent managed open houses work for Hauseit flat fee MLS customers?

Our partner brokers typically show up 10 min early to meet you and learn more about the property, then you are free to leave and let them take it from there!

In terms of keys, they can leave/pick them up from a doorman, neighbor, super or yourself. However, anything extra isn’t included. For example, they’re not expected to messenger keys to you, or drop them off at some later time etc.

How does the complimentary open house work exactly for Agent Assisted FSBO sellers? Why is it free and how do you guys support that kind of cost structure?

Why would the partner broker's agents agree to host an open house for free?

Hi Todd, the first two open houses for Agent Assisted FSBO customers in NYC are free depending on availability.

As you’ve noticed, many of our partner brokerages are quite large and have agents with excess capacity. Open houses are also a great networking opportunity in general for agents, because if a buyer doesn’t end up buying your property, perhaps there could be an opportunity for them to work with our partner agents down the road on something else, whether they are selling or buying.

As a side note, please do keep our great partner brokers in mind if you have any neighbors who friends who need help. Or if any buyers aren’t interested in your property. Any referrals would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the info on the photos. I’m hoping the photos as of now are of a high enough standard to get folks in the door. The link I sent you has couple extras compared to Zillow... a different vantage of main room and also a blue sky background pic of deck. Include or just go w Zillow pics, whatever you think is best.

We’ve had 3 open houses pre signing up for Houseit and they were pretty well trafficked but not by brokers and ultimately no offers. Hoping guaranteeing 2.5 on buy side and syndicating listing will do the trick.

While I have your attention... we are going to run our own open house next Saturday but if I wanted to add one Sunday too say 11a-1pm could you send someone to help? My fiancée can’t be at home then. And we need two people so I can show people roof and basement. Thanks!

As a reminder, please note that our complimentary open house service is only available as of this writing for the first two open houses ever hosted for a particular flat fee listing. Furthermore, they are typically 2 hours maximum and hosted by only one partner agent, and as with all complimentary open house services, are dependent on availability.

Hi Velma, thank you for your great question! We're afraid that the complimentary open house service is only meant for sellers who are too busy or otherwise won't be able to cover their first two open houses.

If you plan on being there, then it will be duplicative for our partner brokers to send someone, and they unfortunately cannot send people to be door greeters.

Please remember that our complimentary open house services are dependent on availability, and only available for the first two open houses that a seller ever holds. If you would like additional open house services on an a la carte basis, please check out our rent an open house agent product.
