Declogging a bathroom or kitchen sink drain NYC

Any tips for this besides just using Drano or not shaving in your own bathroom sink? I have a friend who regularly shaves his beard at the gym to avoid clogging up his own bathroom drain. Anything else you can do besides these tips?

That's the difference between an owner and a renter! An owner will care about something like this and actually go to the gym to shave, to avoid clogging his drain.

Drano as you mentioned or some comparable product is the best bet in my opinion. Easiest solution if the shower drain or faucet drain gets clogged. If you have serious clogging issues, then you may have to pay a plumber to come in and remove the pipes at the bottom and replace or clean out.

Maybe those more handy can elaborate on how to do it yourself in NYC.
