What is a broker open house in NYC?

Would you be able to tell me what this means? A “broker open house”?

Is it useful or relevant? Why wouldn't I just host a normal open house at the same time?

Hi Todd, sure a broker open house is generally a waste of time in my opinion. Essentially it’s an open house that only brokers can see in the RLS or MLS. Then brokers will stop by and check out the properties and preview them for clients, sometimes as part of a tour organized by email.

If you want to participate, simply host a regular open house and invite everyone! You might as well if you’re going to be spending the time hosting one.
