Has anyone else recently received a letter from their assemblywoman complaining about how taxes are too low and the government doesn't have enough funds to spend? And about how taxes were much higher in the supposedly good old days of the 1970's?
I'm in the village in downtown Manhattan, and forgot her name, but it was pretty infuriating. Do our supposed representatives really think the suffocating level of taxes we face as productive New Yorkers is low?
I'm sorry but I recall the Federal tax rate alone in the 1970's was 70% at the top. And NYC was a total ghetto. It just absolutely makes me fume. I wonder if anyone else has read that local update from the local city representative. So out of touch!
